STEM 4 Good Workshop: How 3D Printing is Changing Lives @ STEM Learning Lab | Calgary | Alberta | Canada

Join us for a hands-on workshop and talk that explores how 3D printing is improving the lives of people around the world!

*** $10 of each ticket will be donated to the Victoria Hand Project, a Canadian not-for-profit organization that provides upper-limb prostheses to persons in the developing world. ***

In this 2-hour evening talk and workshop, presenters from Print Your Mind 3D and STEM Learning Lab will discuss assistive technologies and facilitate hands-on activities at three stations. Participants will:

  • Assemble a 3D-printed prosthetic arm
  • Learn the basics of TinkerCad, a 3D printing software

This event is a joint collaboration between Print Your Mind 3D and STEM Learning Lab.

Fractions Rock: Music & Math with Microbits

Get ready to rock with fractions and music in this fun and interactive session. Using block coding, you will gain confidence in coding music with Microbits. Create an auditory experience where you compare the length of notes and how different note patterns can change how we feel about a song—all through the power of fractions! Come join us today and find your song with STEM.

(We recommend that you bring your own headphones for your own listening pleasure)
